Permits & Licenses

DOG & CAT LICENSE

  • Licenses can be obtained from the Town Office during regular office hours.
  • The license fee is $20.00 per year for each dog or cat due in January.
  • The license fee for a “restricted dog” is $250.00 per year for each dog due in January.
  • All licenses are due within 30 days after coming into possession of a dog or cat.
  • Certain breeds of dogs are restricted in Town limits – Pit Bull, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Doberman Pinscher or any of mixed breeding which includes any of the aforementioned breeds, any dog that has been trained as a guard dog, or any dog that has been declared a restricted dog.
  • To operate a kennel within Town limits requires permissions from Council.
  • Please refer to cats and dogs bylaw #2016-15.

BUSINESS LICENSE

  • Licenses can be obtained from the Town Office during regular office hours.
  • Business licenses are required from all businesses, contractors, trades persons, or persons selling merchandise who do not pay commercial/business taxes to the Town of Radville.

 

BUILDING PERMIT 

  • Applications can be obtained from the Town Office during regular office hours.
  • A building permit is required for the construction, erection, placement, renovation or reconstruction of a building. This includes but not limited to new building construction, garages, carports, modular homes, renovations, alterations and additions to existing buildings, relocation of an existing building, basement development, fire places and wood stoves, swimming pools, decks and sheds.
  • Permits are not required for driveways, sidewalks, replacement of windows, doors, roofing and siding not affecting the structural, electrical or mechanical systems, garden and tool sheds not exceeding 100 square feet or 9.2903 square meters.
  • Permits must be approved by Council before starting the project. Starting a project before obtaining a permit can result in increased fees, as well as time and expense to change plans.

DEMOLITION/MOVING PERMIT

  • Applications can be obtained from the Town Office during regular office hours.
  • A permit is required to move or demolish a building or structure.
  • Permits must be approved by Council before moving or demolishing the building or structure.
  • Property owners are responsible to call Sask 1st Call 1-866-828-4888.

FENCE PERMIT

  • Applications can be obtained from the Town Office during regular office hours.
  • A permit is required to build a fence.
  • Fence height shall be no more than 3.3 feet or 1 meter in front yards and 6.1 feet or 1.85 meters on a side or rear yard.
  • Fence setbacks are 20 feet or 6.096 meters in the front yard, and on the property line on the side.
