Tours

Tourism Radville offers tours through booking unless otherwise stated.  Our tours include the Heritage Walking Tour, Haunted History Tour, Stories in Stone Tour, CN Station Museum Tour, McNaught Museum Tour.  Tourism Radville has added Scavenger hunts to the list of interesting things to do.   A self guided Heritage Walking Tour is also available.

Tours:

Stories in Stone: This historical tour of the Radville Laurier Cemetery provides history and statistics with regard to the largest but last built cemetery in the rural municipality.  Participants will be provided with information and a look into the history of the people who contributed to the growth of the area, chose to live in the area, and were put to rest here.  Explore the rich heritage of the first generation of pioneers.  Cost is $10.00 per person, pre-schoolers free.  Please call 1-306-815-7332 to book tour.  Tour participants to meet at the Tourism Office in the CN Station at least fifteen minutes prior to tour time.

Military Tour: A special tour of the Radville Laurier Cemetery honoring our local veterans, soldiers and their families.  Cost is $10.00 per person, pre-schoolers free.  Please call 1-306-815-7332 to book tour.  Tour participants to meet at the Tourism Office in the CN Station at least fifteen minutes prior to tour time.

Haunted History: Join us for a guided night time walking tour of Radville and discover hair raising stories of Radville past.  This tour includes stops at allegedly haunted buildings and stories passed down for years.  Cost is $10.00 per adult, $8.00 per senior/student.  Please call 1-306-815-7332 to book tour.  Tour participants to meet at the Tourism Office in the CN Station at least fifteen minutes prior to tour time.

Heritage Walking Tour:  Take a walk that leads you back in time to the original landscape of Radville including where buildings once stood and the people who lived there.  Learn about the unique history that makes the community of Radville what it is today.  This tour, led by a knowledgeable guide, takes you around town and back again.  Cost is $10.00, pre-schoolers free. Book in advance for this extravagant walking tour.  Phone 1-306-815-7332 Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., May to August.

A self guided Heritage Walking Tour is available and comes with a detailed brochure.  Pick up the brochure at the Tourism Office or at the Town of Radville Office, 522 Healy Avenue.  Cost $3.00.

 

Scavenger Hunts:  Learn the history of Radville while having fun in the process.  Children and the young at heart can participate in scavenger hunts at the CN Station Museum and the McNaught Museum.  Stop at the Tourism Office in the CN Station and request a hunt pertaining to the age and interest of the individual.  The scavenger hunt at the CN Station Museum is $1.00 and the McNaught Museum is free.

 

Missouri Coteau Tour:  Join us for a full day of touring our own backyard, discovering breathtaking scenery and  learning about the last extent of the Wisconsin ice cap of the great ice age.  By bus, the full tour starts at 8:15 a.m. and returns back in Radville at approximately 5:00 p.m.  There are 6 fascinating stops along the tour – be sure to bring your camera!  The morning tour takes us south of Radville, with 3 stops along the way.  The afternoon tour takes us through Brooking, over to Ceylon and down through the Gap, viewing the Roan Mare Coulee, a buffalo jump and a very fascinating turtle effigy.  Lunch at the CN Station will be included in the price of the tour.

It is highly recommended that you wear closed toe shoes, and be prepared for a fair amount of walking.  Sunscreen, bug spray and binoculars might be items you would consider bringing.  Pre-registration is required.  Contact Tourism Radville by calling or texting 306-815-7366, or email tourism.radville@gmail.com to pre-register.  Be sure to mention if you are interested in the morning tour, the afternoon tour, or the entire day.  Cost is $50/person for the full day tour or $30/per person for the half day tour.
